Krause optimises logistics with w3/max
Founded in 2007, Jens Krause Spedition GmbH & Co. KG is a logistics service provider for foodstuffs. As a logistics partner, the company based in Celle offers its customers temperature-controlled storage and transport.
In order to increase the efficiency of logistics processes, the company has introduced the WMS w3/max in co-operation with the software house w3logistics AG. The software covers all of the company's goods processes and ensures an increase in process efficiency and reliability as well as an optimised flow of goods.
In addition to the basic functions of a warehouse management system, special processes were also integrated and the software adapted to the customer's requirements. These include, for example, item selection and batch number entry in incoming goods, the expansion of the XML interface, a customised retrieval strategy taking into account the pallet factor, the grouping and sequencing of tours in outgoing goods, as well as the provision and sequencing of cross-dock goods.
Furthermore, w3logistics AG took over the maintenance and servicing of the implemented warehouse management software in order to ensure operational readiness.
"The cooperation with Mr Krause is always productive and friendly. This enabled us to realise new requirements, such as direct loading or the printing of WA labels, even at short notice," says software developer and project manager Timo Nowodworski from w3logistics about the completed project.
